Disclaimer: This Privacy Policy is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice. Privacy laws vary by country and region, and the way you run your website may create obligations specific to you. We recommend having this policy reviewed by a qualified professional before relying on it.
This Privacy Policy explains how SPINX Digital Image Converter Pro (the “Plugin”), developed by SPINX Digital (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you install and use it on your WordPress website. We’ve aimed to keep this clear and readable for everyday website owners while still covering the essentials.
The Plugin is designed with a privacy-first approach: its core image optimization runs locally on your own server, and we collect as little information as possible. This policy describes what we may receive when you use optional features such as pro add-on, automatic updates.
The information involved depends on which features you use:
Where we receive information, we use it only to:
By default, all image conversion and compression is performed locally on your server using its installed image libraries — your images are not uploaded anywhere. The Plugin keeps a backup of your original images so you can restore them at any time.
To access Pro features, simply install and activate SPINX Digital Image Converter Pro alongside the free version of SPINX Digital Image Converter. Account registration process is required. Once the Pro plugin is installed and activated, all available Pro features become immediately accessible within the WordPress admin dashboard.
The Pro plugin requires the free version of SPINX Digital Image Converter to remain active in order to function correctly.
The Plugin does not set advertising cookies and does not use third-party analytics or tracking technologies to monitor your visitors. Within the WordPress admin area, the Plugin relies on standard WordPress security tokens (nonces) and existing login sessions that are necessary for it to function.
SPINX Digital Image Converter Pro stores plugin settings, conversion records, image metadata, backup information, and optional system logs locally on your WordPress website. This data remains under your control and is retained until you delete it, restore the original images, or remove the plugin. The plugin does not store data on external servers and does not use license activation or remote image-processing services.
SPINX Digital reserves the right to modify, update, discontinue, or replace any Plugin features, functionality, plans, pricing, limitations, or offerings at any time without prior notice.
New features may be added, existing features may be modified or removed, and pricing or plan structures may change as the Plugin evolves. Continued use of the Plugin after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated features, terms, and pricing, where applicable.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by our services, including encryption of data in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We support the principles of applicable privacy laws, including the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal information processed through your website.
Because SPINX Digital Image Converter stores its data locally on your WordPress website and does not collect personal data on our servers, requests related to website visitor data should be handled by the website owner.
As the website owner, you are responsible for complying with applicable privacy laws, including providing privacy notices, obtaining any required consents, and fulfilling your obligations regarding data collected through your website. This policy applies only to the Plugin and its functionality.
SPINX Digital Image Converter is intended for website administrators and is not directed to children. The Plugin does not knowingly collect personal information from children and does not store personal data on external servers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Plugin, its features, or applicable legal requirements. When updates are made, we will revise the “Last Updated” date and publish the updated policy.
We encourage users to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how the Plugin handles data.
